Our department’s fourth-year students undertook a meaningful academic and cultural visit to the Historic Peninsula of Istanbul to observe in the field the theoretical knowledge they have acquired throughout their undergraduate studies and to examine historical sites firsthand.
The visit was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhsin ÖNAL, a faculty member of our department. The field trip, designed to instill in students the methodology of historical science and the culture of on-site examination, included visits to the Historic Peninsula’s iconic sites, notably the Hagia Sophia, the Sultanahmet Mosque, Topkapı Palace, and the Hippodrome area.
We would like to thank Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhsin ÖNAL for his academic guidance and contributions to the trip, and we wish our dear students, who participated in this valuable fieldwork prior to graduation, every success in their professional careers.
