Dr. Burak ALTUNSOY, an assistant professor in our department, attended the 16th Turkish Congress of the History of Medicine, held at Eskişehir Osmangazi University from June 10–13, 2026. At the congress, jointly organized by the Turkish Society for the History of Medicine and the Department of History of Medicine and Medical Ethics at the Faculty of Medicine, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, our faculty member presented a paper titled “The Dog Cull in Istanbul in the Context of Public Health and Dr. Remlinger’s Article.” The paper assessed the significance of the 1910 Sivriada (Hayırsızada) exile from a public health perspective and evaluated Dr. Remlinger’s influence on this exile.
