Our Department Chair, Prof. Dr. Oktay Özgül, and our Department Vice Chair, Dr. Cihan Yalvar, paid a courtesy visit to Ebubekir Fatih Bayram, the newly appointed Director of Culture and Tourism for Yalova Province.
During the visit, discussions were held regarding potential collaborative efforts to preserve, promote, and pass on Yalova’s historical and cultural heritage to future generations.
The meeting highlighted the importance of university-institution collaboration, with mutual assessments made regarding academic and cultural activities that could contribute to Yalova’s historical legacy, cultural values, and tourism potential.
The visit, during which ideas were exchanged regarding potential joint projects, scientific events, cultural programs, and studies on the city’s history to be carried out in the future between the Department of History and the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, concluded with good wishes.
