Our Department Vice Chair, Dr. Cihan Yalvar, gave a lecture titled “Heritage from the Steppe: Turks from Turkistan to Anatolia” at Gazi Mustafa Kemal Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Çınarcık. Dr. Yalvar provided information about the emergence of the Turks on the historical stage, their migrations, tribes, and epics. At the end of the well-attended conference, Çınarcık District Education Director Mesut Demirci presented a plaque to Dr. Yalvar.
