Our department chair, Prof. Dr. Oktay Özgül, gave a speech titled “The Historical Geography of the Turkic World” at Necmettin Erbakan Social Sciences High School as part of the “Turkish Culture Project in the Light of Sociology.” The conference, which detailed the historical processes, cultural interactions, and shared values that have shaped the vast geography of the Turkic world, drew significant interest from teachers, school administrators, and students. The conference concluded with students asking relevant questions and the presentation of a plaque.
