Prof. Dr. Özgül emphasized the importance of writing our own history, stating that only through such efforts can Turkish national unity be achieved and a shared common ground established. He also discussed recent developments concerning the adoption of a common alphabet and collaborative historiography across the Turkic world. Concluding his remarks, Prof. Dr. Özgül stated: “As in the past, today the Turkic Republics, autonomous republics, and other Turkic communities have begun to unite under a single roof a roof that represents justice, compassion, and a vision for a new civilization.” The event concluded with good wishes and a presentation of flowers to Prof. Dr. Özgül by the school principal, Engin Koç.
