Our department chair, Prof. Dr. Mehmet GÜNEŞ, was a guest on the “Bilgi Pusulası” program aired on Channel 12. During the program, our professor discussed the history of Iğdır from the earliest times to the present day, focusing in particular on the changes in the region’s demographic structure as documented in historical sources. He also described the repercussions of the massacres caused by Armenians in the region, which began in the late 19th century and reached their peak during World War I.
